hey guys,
im new to plants as i hav'nt had any but i would like to get some for my tang tank. i would like a broad leaf varient as well as some amazon swords, just wondering if someone could give me sopme names and hints on keeping them alive.

Hi Anthony,

I presume the water for your Tangs is hard and alkaline. This limits your choice of plants. Also presume that if it is a fish only tank the lighting will be low, this also limits choice.:(

You could try Anubias (very slow growing), Java fern, Crypt balansea, Vallis. I have a few spares of the last three but will be away for the next week.

Not sure that the Amazon swords will enjoy those conditions.

I agree with Brett. I have Anubius 'nana', Vallis sp., java fern, Riccia sp. and java moss thriving in my tanks but nothing much else seems to work for me.
