Hi everyone,
I'm thinking about building a 3ft tank and I wanted to have a rough idea how much would the glass cost me. Thickness has to be 10mm.

Thanks

Check out cost of silicone from bunnings,,, aquarium specific selleys.
Look up glass mobs around welshpool area, and give your sizes based on standard glass (soda).
You will find Aquotix and Vebas will build you a tank near to the price that you can obtain the materials at.

All this is only worthwhile for a custom size like yours.
Otherwise of the shelf standard sizes are much better value.

Think you will find that's a standard 3ft not the size he is after.
Far better off going to a premium sponsor store instead of a dodge chain store

Also keep in mind that tanks bought from reputable stores come with a warranty. If you build your own, you may save $40 or so but if something happens you have to pay.

About $200 mate.

Glass inc lids, silicone, t-square vice, a couple of old clothes pegs and and an afternoon in the sun.

Build your own...Its great fun.
