Good Afternoon,

I know they are seasonal and I know our quarantine laws suck the fun out of it but what are my chances like on more exotic anubius varities? I'm going back to the easier/lazier option of planted tank and the slower growing anubius are great for colour and lack of pruning. The only places I have ever seen anything other than nana and giant anubius are with you guys and PADC. Their are lots of more interesting options out there, do they not make it to you store anymore due to availability or just not worth stocking with the necessary price tag? Quite happy to hand over money in advance if you guys can strike pay dirt for me? Thanks.

Hi Phillip,
Anubias are one of those tricky plants to get a hold of. It's hard to get the range that they have over east. As you know they tend to grow slowly, and the local plant suppliers don't have the variety/ range they have over east because of our local quarantine laws.
Occasionally we get different plants in from customers that have sourced the new varieties but they're just not commercially available here.

Now when you mentioned you were after Anubias I was a bit apprhensive as I knew I had some in a tank here, but wasn't sure on the types, prices or if I was allowed to sell them. So.. the only 2 fancy Anubias I have are A.afzelii and A.loraine. Obviously we might get some more in over time but it's not something we can order in, but I'll keep you in the mental database next time any fancy Anubias come in wink.gif

For the above 2. They're $15ea.

If you have anything else your after, feel free to ask and I'll try and get it for you. It's a pain because we're so restricted here. Mark has also picked up your CO2 Probe.

Chris
