Best Way To Attach Moss To 3D Background.

Seaview sell ADA moss cotton (google it). If the surface is rough and jagged enough then you can use that.
If the background is made of foam you could poke holes in it with the tips of toothpicks, break the tips of the toothpicks off and leave it in the background, and then use the moss cotton to tie clumps of moss to the toothpicks.
If there are nooks in the background you can jam a clump of moss into it. Just got to be careful that it is secure and won't come loss otherwise it can clog your filter.

My mate used fishing line and toed it around the backing then wedged the backing in place.
Ones the moss takes to it, he simply cuts the fishing line off.....
actually worked quite well I thought.

I think I'll use the toothpick method. I have used fishing line for tying moss to rocks but I think it'd be easier and look nicer with the cotton.

Staple moss to wall, moss will grow over the staple fairly quickly and hide it.

i drill a small hole in my drift wood and hot glue java clumps to it
