What To Use For Stand For Pond/tank...

im coming down this weekend and gonna have a look around for some stuff to put this polly pond onto... thought ide start a fresh post for this... what are some suggestions on what i could use that isnt gonna drain the bank account to much..

 

or does anyone have something that would be suitable ..?

some limestone blocks and a sheet of heavy ply or some jarrah 4x2,4x4 or bigger, go rustic? throw it on some old railway sleepers?

Tex id use a bunch of pallets... you will be able to get them for free. Then just tart it up with a sheet of colourbond or paint a sheet of ply and fix it as a facade.

If You need a frame to support the top of the pond/tank use treated pine and tek screws. Impossible to mess it up and cheeeeep.

if no limestone blocks but have bricks or concrete blocks  just build a stand like a BBQ can make it look nice in whatever way you like when finished

Granite boulders, pile them up to the required height , make the base about 200mm wider than the pond all the way round, and use smaller granite pieces to fill the gaps, make up and pour some cement (mix with granite dust/gravel/sand in same colour as rocks) to hold them together and to provide a level surface; pond on top and then cement smaller granite pieces round the sides to make it look natural .... maybe end up with something like this I found on the 'net...

i have an 8 foot x 4 foot rectangular tub i got from work James..
