I got all gold fish ...now I still don't know what to do with them lol.

They do best in pond
U want more surface area Vs depth (not more than 20-25cm)
sponge filter is enough - u don't want too much current
they will do fine without heater outside
(If u keeping inside or with heater you can feed more to encourage growth. They in semi hibernation mode right now so don't need as much food)

Oh and bloodworms & duckweed everyday :) plus good quality pellets. I have been giving NLS medium sinking pellets

Hope you enjoy them as much as I do :)

If anyone is interested, the maker of those glass medallions has videos on YouTube - Thompson Ranchu (absolute stunning fish :) )

I got L201s, Demasoni and some wicked F1 Malawi peacocks. Also a great little Juwel Nano Aquarium with two little marine fish a steal for $18, they look like some kind of trigger fish and angel fish, i'll have to research them, just trying to figure out how to plumb this little bad boy up. Any idea anyone, oh and i won the raffle yee haa. A Hydor 300 watt inline heater, i may come again. The nano tank also came with a nice rubber mat to place under the Aquarium. Oh i nearly forgot a nice piece of coral as well.

Thanks for all the committee and everyone that helped make a great night!
I managed to score:
2 l007 (great looking catfish to add to my collection :)!)
2 pairs of delta tail cobra guppies (which are absoloutly stunning, thanks Johnno!)
2 pairs of purple moscows(again absoloutly stunning)

Overall I had a great night and I'm sure every one else that came did to!

Cupcakes were superb!

Mystery snails went in, stem plants in a container in tank until I can sort out.

My thanks for a really great night.

Hehe Sandgroper. Did it come with a free light under the brand "PC"?

First Auction and it was great!! Picked up some thin leaf java fern for $40, didn't get anything else.

It did indeed, i've just fired this little bad boy up and it changes 4 or 5 different colours. The fish don't move around much, i think i may have killed them, have not had marine before but i'm loving it anyway. Best thing i've bought at the PCS apart from the muffins :welldone: :goodjob:  girls these should be a regular.

Great work on the auction guys. I loved the print out on auction numbers and lots. It made it easier to try and focus where I could afford to spend my pocket money and go to the dunny between lots.

You can't control what the members submit for auctions but a nice mix of stuff. Pretty much something for everyone.

Cheers Chris - good to see you there too.

Also thanks again to aquotix for generous donations that will go towards raising funds for conservation efforts in Lake Tanganyika - buy aqua realm buffer salts people!!!

More details about the fundraising at the next meeting - Mattia, Androo and Ad diving in Lake Tanganyika. Those who saw the sneak preview in July know what to look forward to :)
