Gee 12 or 14 hours is not much, even 24 hours if packed right is no problem when you thing they take three days from Germany to Australia with all the delays, changing planes, and connection involved.

From looking at the body shapes in the pic I'd say the top is the girl and the bottom is the boy
Considering fishes size it sounds about the going rate for them or you might find a 6cm one for about $600-$700 then invest another 5+ yrs .............
