Thanks for the tip Steve. Might go for tropheus and demasoni once I get sick of the frontosa eating all the other fish.

and this is what the tank looks like now:

Got bored of Malawis pretty quick. Pretty fish, but all they do is eat and breed.

Changed it to a planted tank about 9 months back. Sold the rocks and coral substrate, traded all the fish.

Also changed the filtration to two Astro 2212 canister filters. Will upgrade the lighting soon, so the plants get better growth

No L numbers in there
List of catfish as follows: common bristlenose, longfin albino bristlenose, synodontis nigriventris (upside down catfish), Sterbai Corydoras, peppered Corydoras. Probably more, but no L numbers.

Kribs are smarter and more interesting than congo's. Bows are more colourful and diverse than congo's.

Congos happen to be my favourite tetras. West African of course ;) I got 14 or 15 of them in this tank. The male congos are such show offs. The females are a bit drab though

I like Congos as well... If I ever set up an African inspired tank, Congo's will be the dither fish.

Nice tank, look forward to seeing it fill out with the eventual new light and plants.

Hey Kane, if you're after a different kind of fish, keep your eyes peeled for yellow tailed Congo tetras. I don't think they're as pretty as Congo tetras, but different stuff is always nice

Check out the tank now:

Wood, plants, and most fish traded in at Aquotix.
Just got kribensis, corydoras, and rainbow fish. Added limestone a friend gave me a couple of days ago just for the hell of it.
