pre booking is now closed..... if you have anything that you want to bring to the auction you may book it in on the night.

I agree with both sides here.

Choombies

You bring up a very good point

“just means they sell for cheaper!!??”

Cheaper fish are only ever good for the people purchasing them.

The problem that I have with the whole system is that people who pre-book there lots, organise photos etc, and people that don’t pay the same amount of commision.

As an incentive I would like to see pre-booked lots receive the current commision, with lots booked in on the night or after the cut of time receive another 5%.

As an example.
What happens if I bring let say bring 2 bags of 5 peppermint brstlenose, all pre-booked.
On the night however 3 more people also bring 2 bags of the same type of fish, suddenly my fish that I may have received $50, suddenly go down to only $40 due to the larger numbers of the same fish. smile.gif

The auction aims to start at 8pm, but generally people arrive early and chat and meet everyone.

Do you guys ever just do a swap meet style sell night ? Rather than Auction, Where you can just come in browse and buy and leave ?

I really like the sound of that swap meet type thing. People could pee book a table. Bring there fish down. Would be a lot more personal.
I'm not saying instead of the auction. Was my first auction last night and loved it.
But I think that would be A really neat way for people to sell there fish and actually meet the breeders/other members of the club

Pee book ?? Good job jadon
Hahaha

A member’s swap meet style event is actually something we are looking at next year. Keep an eye out in the New Year for any announcements.
