good for people to learn a bit about fish genetics.... and you can experiment and see your results without waiting for years for fish to mature and breed etc...\

i like breeding .. i tried it with the ranchu goldfish and while i enjoyed going through the whole process, they took up too much and space and ate too much- thats just to raise anything half decent.
hence i changed to guppies. quick turn around and less space and food required lol
