Just leave them to it mate. Whacking a torch up the cave every 5 min won't get it happening any quicker.
Relax mate.

Yep, they do that when you keep looking at them.

Just have some patience, then you get...

Leave them in the cave.. The male will fan them... All you need to do is water changes & feed them... Don't constantly wait for them to "do the dirty" ... You wouldn't like to be watched tongue.gif

Mate research!! Get on the net or go to the library and read up on them. We were all clueless at one stage but if you take the time to read up on things befor you do them then your one step ahead. It will pay off.
Cheers.

Preggas. You mean gravid. Preggas would imply she is growing young inside her which she is not.
Good luck anyway.

If you want to try to spur them on start feeding them zucchini or pumpkin, dont do a water change for 3 or 4 weeks, just make sure the water isnt going bad from rotten food.
Then after 4 weeks do a big 50% water change and lower the temp in your tank to 21-23 degrees.
Oh, and leave them alone. smile.gif
You should have eggs in a couple of days.
Once you do, leave them alone! My male used to kick out eggs straight away if I lifted the cave while he was fanning. It took me a few months of constantly lifting the cave before he would give in and just let me!

And ask as many questions as you want, people forget that it can be difficult researching some fish on here. If they dont want to answer your question, they wont.
The fact that most people call bristlenose catfish "bn" means that you cant search them easily on here as the search function wont let you search for a word with less than 4 characters.
And who wants to spend hours reading through 4000 posts when you can ask a question in 2 mins and have an answer the next day.
