What species of fish are readily available that are easy to keep and grave on the rocks? Predominantly herbivores and non aggressive fish that won't out grow my 130D<br />

Otocinclus. Bit pricey ($10-$15 per fish) for a small fish, but they must be the most placed fish of all time. They are used in all of Amano's scapes and they do not harm shrimp or any plant. I have them in all of my tanks, in my large ones they do not make a dent on algae but in my smaller tanks 75L - 175L. Borneo Sucker could also be a possible addition. Never had them but they look very cool.

Lawnmower Blenny, copper banded butterfly, blue tangs, bi colour angels and my personal favourite is the psychedelic mandarin! Such a pretty fish!! But heaps more are grazers too :)

Here's my mandarin from a few years back

To graze on what off the rocks? algae, coralline, detritus and or small invertebrates?

The dragonet sp. will eat a lot of copepods and other creepy crawlies off the rock, so you'd really need a lot of rock or high quality rock and substitute feeding as a lot of these gorgeous fish perish in typical house aquariums.

for algae control etc, lawn mover blenny, these things are great, but ugly, yet full of personality.

I personally liked to use trochus snails etc and other similar species. Even sea cucumbers are great sand filter cleaners too, eating a lot of detritus (black sea cucumber was what I had)

I personally wouldn't suggest or encourage any tangs unless the tank was a 4x2 - just my opinion.

Butterflys, hard to say, a lot of the chatendonia sp feed on coral polyps etc, and sustaining in aquarium can sometimes prove difficult but can still be done.

Agree with Jules and Dazza
your best options are either tropheus snails or small bennies. (Lawnmowers are the best but Midas and Bicolour are prettier)
