We are moving house in about 8 weeks time... moving to the wheatbelt.. the house we will be moving into which are going to also buy from friends, has a really nice shed... first question i asked my wife when she told me about the house was does it have a shed and she laughed and said um you think a trucky would have a house without a shed... lol (wifes a smartarse btw)!

now im looking for all the info i can find on getting it setup for keeping fish tanks in the shed... anyone with experience i would love to hear your ideas and all that... and if anybody knows of anywhere i could read some really good info please point me in the right direction...

thanks in Advance.. wife is really excited that my fish tanks won't end up in "her" lounge room again :/

also yes i could google it... but google is to random sometimes ... better to get the right info the first time :)

What size is the shed? Will you be doing the whole shed for fish and what part of the wheat belt, you may need to buy a tank for conditioning water before water changes.

your gonna wanna hope the sheds insulated, in summer youll need an air con or a chiller to keep the temps down and some good heating in winter

Put all the tanks inside and put the Mrs in the shed, problem solved on both fronts.

its in dalwallinu so yes i know the bits i already consider are... it will need insulation, and probably some heating and cooling...

im thinking only part of the shed... but i gotta think about ... just wondering more what to use to insulate it and all that... whats the best to use for the best price ?

Freezer panels. The type they use to build cool rooms if your just doing part of the shed.

the cheapest option is just some foam sheeting, but freezer/coolroom panels are basically that with a stainless edging and will provide the best insulation in your case

insulate and run a reverse cycle air con unit to cool and heat... you'll find once everything is at correct temp it will rarely come on/off... as insulation does its job....
