Does anybody have avitrol+ or levamisole that they'd like to sell or know where to get it? Fish are infected with Callamanus, need to treat ASAP. Any advice on treating the Callamanus would be great too. 6x2x2, Fx5 and Aquis 700 and various internals, low tech planted. Angels, tetras, danios, peps, rasboras, loaches, cories, rainbow fish and bristenose. 0 ammonia, 0 nitrite, 30 nitrate. Had to euthanise an angel that was floating around the tank which on closer inspection had 5 or more small red worms sticking out of its anus. 2 other angels have it too, and probably other fish.  :( Been told that once it is seen coming out of the anus it is usually too late?  :(

seems to be a bit of an epidemic last few months.....

most of the common wormers wont touch cammallanus worm.... levamisole is your best bet... but need to be vigilant on retreating and keeping close eye on them....

aquotix can steer you in the right direction for treatment....

and hope you dont have a strain that is resistant to levamisole....

any medication will effect your biofiltration.... bacteria numbers could well take a big hit so be on the look out for ammonia spike(s) as well...

and you may well lose more fish depending on whether or not the worms have eaten fish internals rather than just stomach/bowel contents...

Lots of online places have it like vetpetdirect but easier to just grab it from a local produce store.

Hopefully not. Not much going on with the 6x2x2 atm, planning on starting the carving on the 3d background on the weekend though.
