Hey guys im very new to this forum, I work at better pets and gardens and decided to get into fish after years of keeping reptiles, i splashed out on a jewel rio 240 litre aquarium which instores is around 1000$ , i got it for around 800 which i thought was a bargain, turns out it was one of the most exspensive tanks i could get at that size:( But anyway atm it is housing a juvinile oscar a featherfin, black ghost knife and a commn bn.

Im looking at moving the tank into another area and putting a small saratoga in it. In about a 2 weeks - a month i will have a 6x2x2 with a home made diy stand, this is where the oscar and toga will go, along with some salmon tail cats and some plecs, then my 240 litre will be converted to a african display.

So watch this space to see all the progress which should be upgraded every couple of days:) Would love any tips on what i am doing or any thoughts on species compatibility, i am well aware the toga might not be a good idea with the oscar.

Im assuming your buying my Chalceus?

Youll have to keep an eye on them with a saratoga in the long run bud, as Scotty Hooton can tell.

Pics taken from phone atm, do the tank no justice grr. Moved the 4 foot, emptied it out and made it simple, it will be the temporary house for the fish and toga for a week or two, Then once they are in the 6 foot this will be turned into an african display:) :)
