enough for one side in and out - with the flow it has, there is no need to run the inlet and outlet at different sides of the tank... that method is outdated.  But more often than not, most hard plumb the filter from under the tank though bulkheads and holes in the base of the tank.... in which case you hardly need all the hose.... but if you do need more hose, let us know, and Ill organise some more, similar hoses in 25mm.

Matty I cannot recomend this product enough, super impressive. You weren't wrong about the flow rate either Ollie, better than that of any other canisters I have previously owned.

Of course it's going to have more power, it's got a bigger motor which means it will chew up more juice and cost more to run. So i don't think this feature makes it  better than other less powerful and more efficient filters. Filters are for filtering, if you want water flow use marine type power heads. However it does have a extra basket which is a good thing. I believe your better off with 2 smaller filters rather than one large one, as handling them for cleaning is easy and you can alternate them when cleaning. Also if one brakes down you still have a filter running on your tank, the total of watts is less, the media total is about the same or even more and the flow is similar or more depending on your combination.

I think im going to sit tight and wait for the filter to get a bit older with more reviews, since its a new brand, I dove in and got the fx6 since the fx5 was such a hit

Im an FX5 man all the way......

Im not brave enough to try anything else lol.

And you can get really good deals on FX6 if you shop around.

on a side note.

Curious if anyone has ever tried running K media in a canister filter?

In the market for new filter, any updates on how these filters are going now after a few more months?
