So I've finally set up my newly acquired 5x2x2. Unfortunately I never saw the tank full and running and as a result have had to buy a new pump for the sump return and also the UV clarifier doesn't work. Most importantly though the tank is in great condition as well as the cabinet.

Enter 5 juvenile Dovii. These guys are crazy! I knew there would instantly be a dominant male running the show, but all of them have a go at each other. Biggest is about 12cm and smallest about 8cm. Ultimately I just want a single male but if a pair form that would be great.

This one is my second favourite. Its the 3rd biggest but tries to run the tank

Will post more pics as they get bigger.

Great photos Cuban my Dovii is my favourite fish now. Love it how he just owns the tank and the room. While I am at work my wife has to feed him and he already trying tomsnatch the pellets out of her hand!

Nice Dovii you've got there. If you think they are aggressive now wait until they mature. My bad boy used to try to attack anyone or anything that came within 10ft of his tank. Are you planning to upgrade to a bigger tank? I only ask because my male got to 45cm & it didn't feel right having him in an 8x2x2ft tank so gave him to a friend with bigger tank. If you end up with a breeding pair a much bigger tank with dividers or a second large tank will be needed.

Yeah this is a growout tank really. If they pair up they should be alright for a while but I bought them to choose a solo angry male. Would love to get a 10x3x3 for him

Here is my Dovii it's an absolute beast. To me it's like a great white shark in a tank and has tripled in size since I brought it. What sex do you guys think it is?Attached File  image.jpg   145.28KB   7 downloads

Yep male Karlos. He will only get even angrier as he gets bigger. Also the other fish in the tank will become snacks.
This is my male now. Starting to get some size on him (he's an absolute pig).

I'm growing out 5 and I have 1 definite female, possibly 2. I'll be selling off the other 2 males if anyone is interested

Beautiful Tank! Looks very natural and the river stones add a nice feel to the tank.
