My CO2 reactor seems to be struggling to keep my PH at the controller's level. I started dosing ferts recently and now my PH is up around 7.2 each day when I get home (set at 6.8 currently).

Are some better than others?

Should I add a second reactor to my other canister filter?
#Edit: I am currently running a ISTA "external ceramic reactor"

Thanks in advance,
Cam

Hey Cam,

I would first probably try to re-calibrate your Ph controller if it's struggling to keep the level... then if you really think it's the reactor, you just need to change the ceramic inside and you'll see the magic happen ;)

That reactor looks pretty good! Tempted to try it except for the cutting hoses bit.

From what I've seen they all pretty much have the same idea.

Cheers Mattia!

PH on the controller matches the PH test kit. Re-calibrated and it was close 4.15 in PH4 and 6.95 in PH7

Still pumping out heaps of tiny bubbles but it isn't keeping up.
PH is 7.1 today when I got home. (still set at 6.8)

I'll try and give Aquotix a visit tomorrow!
