I'm running it on setting 2 of eight at the moment too.
Looks more natural with a little less powerful light and the fish seem to colour up more when is not too bright.

How much did your filter cost?
I wanna get an 8x2x2 but need to figure out how much everything is gonna cost me.

And please remember quality is not cheap.

Does that mean plants......not sure they will last with the umbees digging up the gravel all the time....keen to hear suggestions though.
They just restack the gravel as they like.

These Rough Cichlids... Um Yea Maybe Java Fern/Anubias Tied Onto Some Rocks Would Be Ok And Avoid The Digging Problem Probably Larger Variety's Of Anubias Like Minima/Congensis
Also Good Things About These Plants Is They Require Very Low Light, Little To No Nutrient Suppliments And Grow Well In High Ph/Harder Water Also They Are Slow Growing Meaning No Trimming Every Week
