Hey Guys n Gals

i just wanted to share my little project with you...

This is my DIY Skimmer, it has a venturi injector running with an 1800lt/hr pond pump and a 8.5lt capactity reaction chamber.
the chamber and collection cup are from an old skimmer i had lying around which i cut dowm slightly to fit under the tank in the sump (neat n tidy) and drilled 2 small holes in, one for the inlet one for the outlet. I got the dremel out and widened to holes for an exact fit. for the inlet i used some clear 16mm tube that runs an inch inside the chamber and for the outlet i used pope reticulation 19mm elbows with the lip cut off. the outlet tap is also a pope 19mm one way tap and it works a treat...

very simple and very cheap....... not including the pump it cost me $16.75
