A few pics on my DIY stand for my 6fts, tanks on top of each other means more room for more tanks, YEH!

This took me all of about 2hrs, used all wood from building sites that was in their scrap piles.
Bought screws for about $6 at bunnings and a cheapo circular saw, cost me bugger all, now I have room for more tanks....mmmmm

Any thoughts comments/critisism welcome, hahaha

cheers.gif , Gareth

I have a comment.
Put [lMG] ate the start of those url's, then [/lMG] at the end.
Then the pics load in your post.
If that is too hard, click on the little picture icon wher writing your post, enter the url into the script.

like the look of it when the tank is in there.

Hey mate.
Can i suggest you put a second set of legs up against the first set between the 1st and 2nd tier. Hope that makes sense??
Only reason is that the only thing holding the second tier up is screws which will fail over time.

If you have a look HERE you will see what i mean.

I'll second that, plus a leg in the middle, timber sags over time

Did you glue it?

If it's glue and screws it might be ok, but just screws I would say they will tear out.

Definatly need more bracing for the top tank, may have to sacrifice the bottom to a 6x14 to allow room for bracing.

I've moved a couple of 6x2x2 Scotty they were easy, I've never done a bottom tier tank before it was just awkward as heck ! Plus there's not much room to move around In Garrett shed lol
