A large growing nasty catfish icon_twisted.gif , But awesome as well icon_e_biggrin.gif
I can only go on what I have seen over the last 12mths of keeping one in the shop. I did keep one at home for about 3 mths and it showed the same behavior.

If you have a large tank and some large American cichlids or something similar then go for it.

They don't seem to fussy about water conditions and will eat any type of food, they one I had at work would greedily take cichlid pellets and would chase other fish away to try to gorge them all for itself.
I haven't seen the wild colored cats, but the albino's ones getting around are great looking with their long trailing extensions on their fins.
Well worth getting for the larger tank, but they do come with a warning...The one in the video below is the one I had in an 8ft tank until I decided to sell it, the Vieja you see in the video was killed by it icon_evil.gif The catfish was around 40cm and will grow to around 65cm.
