Best bet is to wait until December/January when they are in season. All that will be available are last seasons animals, way better off in my opinion to get some fresh fingerlings and grow them yourself, at least you know that they will be raised correctly.

Ive been told jardinis aren't being collected or farmed any more, didn't see any last season?

Be a real shame if we cant even get a hold of our native species. Better starting locking up all the cool fishes in your collections :( .

We had some jardini last season, I'm keeping my eye out for more fingerlings this season :)
Just so I'm being clear it was the Saratoga Jardini that we had, I don't think you're allowed to import arrowana into WA are ya?

Saw 1 Jardini and 1 leichardti at City Barn this afternoon

I don't remember the actual price, it's at $500-600 range

The size is around 40-55cm

If you pay 800 for a jardini, you may as well try to bring over a silver arowana from over east.

Ridiculous price......

That lei at city barn is stunning, very large and stunning quality specimen.

Jardini's are not yet bred in captivity, only wild caught. The guy that used to collect tgem doesnt do it anymore so there hasnt been any in a good 2 years now. Lei's are everywhere due to being farmed over east atm in captivity. And you dont 2 jardini's in tank. They would kill ea other.

I did not encounter any jardini last year & they were only on the list for about 1 week the year before. The croc story appears to be legit, same guy was the main salmon tail collector. Warning on thinking about bringing over an aro, one of my customers did & ended up with a fine of $1400, the east coast sender was also charged & fined - translocation of an exotic fish without the correct authorization (translocation permit). Road is sometimes used, but highly stressful on such a sensitive species & finding someone prepared to risk a fine sending one would be a challenge.
