i think some of them have been selective bred for their colouration and then sold as super green... and cost more money i expect.. haha thats marketing these days for you..

as well as the colour difference, carpintis seems to have worming on the face while cyanoguttatus lacks this... they are found in different areas, so they might be colour morphs of the same species that have evolved... or completely different species... i dont think anyone knows this for sure wink.gif

just iphone pics so they're not the best quality & all fish are hiding cause i just messed with all the rocks trying to fish out my bigger synspillum cause it was beefing with my new FH

that rainbow shark is the longest fish i've ever kept & he's lived in tanks with 35cm dovii & massive jags & is still kicking ass in this tank

i will never get over how awesome my tank is, no pics can truely do it justice. i just hope i can maintain balance for some time biggrin.gif

looks great man!! aslong as you grow them up and dont chuck anymore fish in once the orders sorted out, you should be right smile.gif its how i've managed to keep mine good smile.gif and my rule is.. if something goes on a rampage. get it out of there, thats how i've done it and mine are all happy as! smile.gif

just one thing.. i've noticed your just using a cannister filter, chuck a powerful internal in there!! i have a 1000lph canister and a 2400lph internal and they love the current smile.gif

goodluck mate,

yeah i'm actually about to buy a lot more powerful canister filter that pumps a lot more water around, the one i have now (aqua one) is pretty poxy when it comes to water flow.

i added in a bay snook today but i wont be adding any more fish for a while

only slight beefs are with my blue acara & my biggest dempsey, they seem to lock mouth every now & then but it's cool

going great aye, has had no beef with any fish besides the synspillum shortly after i put him in but i took the synspillum straight out n took him to city barn haha

they can be hell narky fish one pretty much smashed a hell good looking oscar down to this

i love synspillums but they've got real sharp little teeth & if they're bigger than most fish in the tank they can ruin your fav fish

however the oscar healed up in about 2 weeks perfectly fine.. except he lost that eye.

fh just cruises around doing his own thing. reminds me of the one i had before & the bigger he grew the cooler he got & he never battled any fish no matter how small.. trouble was he wasn't the best to look at.

it'd be great to be able to post a pic of my new one. very proud of this little guy.

they're not that aggressive.. but i wouldnt put them with yelllows

you'd be better off getting rid of the yellows.. they're more of feeder fish anyway

get yourself a couple of green terrors, super green texas, jack dempsey, bay snook and go from there cool.gif
