Hi,

Just to spur up some traffic.. Would be interesting to see what you guys are working on in terms of breeding or maintaining at the moment... I know a few of you were getting right into the royal whiptails at one stage... How you went with the fry raising etc etc

And anyone spotted any rarer things slip into the country lately? It might be just me, but there seems to be less of the rarer stuff in stores since last year...:)

It's summer and the fish room is a bit warm for most corydoras but for sterbai and caudimaculatus. Most urgent project is to spawn a few caudimacs this summer as my stock is getting a bit long in the tooth and a couple have dropped off the perch lately.
I have got some C robinae here also that are reportedly warm water lovers. They were an expensive exercise. I have got 7 left out of 15 purchased. They were fair lumps of fish when I got them 9 months ago and they haven't grown all that much. But i don't reckon they have reached the 7cm that they are supposed to get to. Pretty cool fish tho, spend a lot of time up off the bottom and swim in a school in the lower half of the tank. If I can get them to breed I'll be pretty chuffed.
I've 10 or a dozen other species here that I have never bred before that are going to get some serious attention in a couple of months when the weather cools.

Alan

I have few peppermints that I am trying to breed and a couple of royal whiptail.

As to rare cats I saw a pair of panaque at Vebas. Asking price $3,500!!!
