So, I just got 2 sheets of foam to make a start on my 3d background for my tank, but then realised that I have no idea how I will install it. Anyone got some suggestions? Ok guys, I have found a way to do this that seems like a good idea. It's called Juwel conexo underwater adhesive. Has anybody used the stuff before? I so what do you think about the stuff? Is it any good?

I used magnets on mine, used aquarium safe silicone to attach the magnets to the background and then simply put the background in and carefully slid the back magnets in place. That way it is completely removable and doesn't damage the tank. My background is a universal rocks one though so I'm not sure if it'll work with the foam ones, carefully which adhesive you use too as some attack the foam.

I got mine from http://www.lodestoneindustries.com.au/as they are in osborne park.

I used round ferrite magnets 40x10mm from memory for their corrosion resistance and strength, they have been in use now for at least 6 years with no issues and ive been able to remove the background which was handy when moving houses :)

Conexo is good. Wont have any problems with it.
My experience with 3d backgrounds is make sure you fix it perfectly so nothing (fish, fish crap, etc) can get in behind it.

Probably not, ferrite work well as they are considered ceramic and don't corrode in the water. They also aren't too strong but you still need to be careful with them as you could break the glass if you weren't paying attention.
