Thanks mate.
Yeah pretty damn exciting and scary.
But will make sure I have time for fish.

Main driver for not setting the marine tank is moving house once the new one is built, don’t want to upset what would otherwise be a newly established marine tank.

Moving house is a pain without moving a marine tank too. Be worth waiting for sure, when's the house due for completion?

Oh agreed!

Wont be till mid-late next year, only just going through final plans, options and detailed design/concepts to then lodge for approvals.

Hopefully its contractually sorted and 100% ready by the end of this year with construction starting first thing in the new year - might even dig some soak wells this Christmas :Rofl_3f:

Hopefully!

So my lights and heater are due to arrive this week.

Hoping to get a phone call today telling me my stand is ready to be collected from powder coating.

Then can pick up the tank next weekend.

Ordered window tinting to stick to the back of the new tank (don't want a solid black background, prefer a more shadowed out effect).

So picked up my powder coated stand, super happy with the quality, cost and finish.

Didn't want a flat colour so got a textured coating, looks awesome! Will be using again for my other steel projects!

Collected my garnet sand substrate too! Picking up the 4x2 this weekend and will apply the tint etc to it all - will post some pics when done.

Maxspect Gyre pumps for my reef tank came in Friday evening, I still cant believe I spent that much $$ for a small box with a pump in it :o - but hey slowly coming together!

Still waiting on my skimmer, and looking to buy the RODI unit soon...….. Then once the big tank sells ill collect the red sea tank and will be able to setup the FW tank. Going to be a good way to end the year.

Yeah its awesome, highly recommend Panther Powdercoating in Welshpool.

Already getting the new outdoor table setting I made powder coated there and the legs for our new dining table black butt timber slab!

He does all car and motorbike parts etc, handy to know.

Confirmed, tank is being collected this Saturday morning, exciting!

Before tint, and then after tint - well you get it, photos are wrong way around haha

A bit tricky to apply, but turned out pretty good I thought, next time id go darker.

Will hook up the filters etc tonight, then add another cycled filter for a few weeks to get it all going.

FW tank is cycling. So transfer fish hopefully in a few more weeks.

In other exciting news, finally picked up my new Red Sea Reefer 425XL from Vebas (courtesy of their 20% off sale)…. So excited to go back to the reef scene.

Any one else get some good deals from Vebas over the weekend?

Yep. Got $4 off a $20 packet of Hikari sinking pellets.
Hey big spender!

I saw a really cool looking fish in the tank at the back right, sharing its space with some oscars. My daughter wanted me to buy it, but it would eat all my little fish
