Woken up again early, So why not go for a rant on GT.... :)

If those are the adults and not a google image, Some stunning fish....

:o :o

1.5 - 2cm  COME ON!!!!  Maybe I'm just too old skool, but what happened to growing the fish out a bit. If it's not a dwarf species, it should be at least 3-4cm before its ready for sale. Some people shouldn't keep fish.

Annnnnnnd this is why we have crap quality Aulonocara in Oz.... :brickwall:
"Fry got mixed up so come see which ones you like."

Pretty cool for the fish room

https://www.gumtree....51cm/1151129825

And lastly for today:

https://www.gumtree....bler/1090774691

These would have to be the worst invention ever.... Ive seen so many deformed fish come out of these things, bent mouths bent heads etc. Terrible things.
Don't buy them, let the female hold naturally. And if you cant wait and have to strip them, let them hold for a week before you do.
Some will say "My female wont hold at all so I have to tumble them"  No you don't, try, try and try again. If you don't succeed, maybe try another female. Or maybe its something in the tank that is causing her to spit. Move her to another tank, away from other fish and people walking past the tank...
Nobody likes a spitter :o  :Rofl_3f:

Rant over for today, The kids will awake soon and time to get ready for school..

Ill tell yous on Saturday..... B)

apparently was purchased 8 months ago as 5cm fish and was sold as a jar, I to am very skeptical and studying frantically the differences but being small still I'm struggling, some jardinis where available last season, so it is possible, but I think in person itll he the final call.

Good luck, look for gill plate and fin patterns + white outlines on the tail, anal and dorsal fins.. I'm starting to think it's a Leichardti due to the seemingly straight back but it could be the size. Hope it's a Jardini -  didn't know there were any available last season, cool!

I'm reading the barbell length and positon, outwards vs downwards, leis have red spots on the scales and jars more cresents on the edges.

Yesterday I rang a couple stores and a couple of them said they where available but sold out quick - with a couple getting some in (2 where chain pet stores surprisingly!)

Rest assured a few of the stores have said to me this year they will actively source jardinis with some already chatting to potential collectors, as they are not bred in ponds like the leichatdti

Can someone please save this stingray. Not much room to move about. Don't keep rays personally but for some reason think it would be best suited to a larger environment. Am I the only one?!

I'd grab him but not at that price. Sad how some people treat their fish :/, and then when it gets to the point where they need to sell, they ask a ridiculous price.

Yep I've seen some crazy fish combos. Discus are dirt cheap now, so I wouldn't be surprised seeing them in a goldfish tank

I once kept juvenile C.moori and N. Brichardi with discus for quite a few months without any issues.

Goldfish and discus are a different set of issues though.
