so got the new tank up and running. not for what i intended it for tho, its become a breeding tank for my acara pair. its a little small for them but they seem happy been able to raise their fry without having to defend them from any predators for once. which always ended in no fry left. plan to move them back to the other tank soon and grow out the fry in this tank. feel bad to take them away from their fry tho! so leaving it a little longer.

once the fry get big enough ill add an eheim pickup filter. air driven sponges are great but create very little flow and dont suck up much debris (poop) so forever vacumning the tank. which is hard when u have to try not to suck up any fry!

Looks good, great little fish to the sparkling gourami! Should try to source some chocolate gouramis too! another gorgeous small gourami species.

seen them pop up every now and then on aquariumindustries stocklist.. very tempting i like them alot. i feel like this little tank is probably fully stocked now tho. i am considering getting a few chocolates for my new tank as a feature fish, but i dont wish to add any ial or peat moss to that tank, and i believe the chocolates come from very soft acidic waters. maybe they’re acclimated to a more neutral ph having been captive bred?

gone for a more ’natural’ look in the small tank with the use of some leaf litter6a40bb22cbf9fb5b0da62a5ea5cbb799.jpgalso added 8 sparkling gouramis. these guys are really cool, but really hard to get a picture of52d9b4140a119cb2d89c36a182e61104.jpgd2249ff5ebde71670c67105c7efdc41b.jpgc89efe9b5a51a78ec41eabf1da9344bb.jpg
