Hi everyone im new so thought i would introduce myself..
just moved here from canberra and not very knowledgable about fish as yet but really would like to be.
before i moved i had a three foot tank with tropicals (angels plattys etc)
and a four foot with 2 oscars. Unfotunatlly when i moved i had to sell them
so now im settled in i am buying a 2 foot for now and also a three foot for some cichlids.
i have noticed some arnt available here that wernt in canberra.
are some banned?
anyway sorry to go on but im really glad to be among other people that love keeping fish

Welcome to the forum. There's plenty of knowledgeable people on here, so I'm sure you'll find what you need in no time! I assume you plan on keeping African Cichlids?

heya! i found a 4 foot today and bought it so pretty stoked about that!
im thinking african but im not sure where to buy them from i really dont know my way around yet.
i just popped an add for some oscars and hoping someone might have one or two that they might want to find a new home for!

If you're just starting out and need alot of new aquarium related products, it might be very worthwhile to become a "PCS Club Member". That will entitle you to a 10% discount at participating sponsors/aquarium stores. And it only costs you $25 per year!

At the top of this site, there's a bunch of sponsor logos, click on them for store locations etc. Alternatively, you can go to the subforums in "Classifieds" to check out specials from some of the PCS sponsors.
There's also a sponsor for computer & technology related products as well! How's that for coolness!! But.. that's another story... hehe!

I tried to join yesterday with paypal but it didnt work the page that came up was all wierd writing. Might just be my computer but i dont know? but i definatlly will be joining,i think im on here now more than im on facebook wich is quite bizzare im a facebook freak but it so wonderful everyone seems nice and this is a cool forum!

Yea thats normal for me as well, Just type in what you need & it will redirect you to the paypal page

Good to know, I just checked and it's definitely wrong, I'll fix it

Edit: all fixed up, Daz must have done something weird when adding the Spencer Jack option. You may need to refresh to see the working page.

Strange coz I've had quite a few successful payments come in via PayPal using the same link. Browser specific perhaps? What Internet browser are you using Ellen?

Im using opera? its strange it just comes up with jumbled letters? i will try again now though and hopfully it works

Daz, it was still usable but had symbols instead of spaces and messed up some links. Tested using latest Firefox. All good now though.
