Hey all. New to the forum but have kept aquariums for a while.
Currently I only have a 4ft planted tank with some tetras, angels, catfish etc. Used to keep and Cichlids and some of them bred too but I wanted some plants so moved away from that.
Definitely in the market for a 6x2x2 tank now as well to keep either Cichlids or try for a planted Discus tank or im open to suggestions as well.
Other than that i'm a student in my final year of uni and definitely looking forward to getting out into the workforce, tired of being poor. Enjoy fishing, 4wd, motorcycling, playing music and a whole bunch of other things.
Looking forward to learning a lot and meeting some people from the forum.
Cheers guys

Haha thanks guys. I'd love to go marine but I definitely don't have the budget to maintain that at the moment. Definitely want to give it a go in the future though. News though is that I did get myself a nice 6x2x2 setup! I'm thinking of going planted tropical. Just trying to think of what fish to stock it with.

I'll guess (because of your budget) you your going to do a low tech no co2 tank?

Welcome mate smile.gif

Ahh yeah low cost no-co2 will probably be the go. I have successfully done it in my current tank and in the past. However I'm also wondering what type of big "centerpiece" community fish are available. Not too keen on discus at the moment and wondering what other options there are? I'd like to have a few bigger fish in the tank but most of the options out there will either gobble up all smaller fish, or tear up plants. I could go driftwood and rocks and go south american cichlids like geophagus and some angels though right?
ahhh decisions decisions! I'll post up a pic of my 4ft tank before it's decommissioned and keep a picture log of the development of the 6ft tank for u guys though!
