just thought id share a bit of my joy wid ya's
i actually got to witness my own fish spawing for once
(i had seen maz's big fella's do the business and kinda had a idea wat ta look out for)
yday before leavin work myseklf n peds were checkin all my tanks before we left and there was a bit of comotion in my 6 foot mixed malawi tank
to my surprise i noticed that the bolyei (spell check) were chasin each other quite rapidly around the tank , then after close inspection i noticed that the female (both fish 10cm ish so i cood actually see it) had her ovipositer ( spellin and no idea if its even the rite wordhahah ) was fully hangin out , and we actually got to witness about 30 minutes of spawnin were i actually got to see her realese some eggs and quickly get em in her mouth(although the venustus and hongi were also tryin to do the same) i can tell u it was a absolutely amazing moment for this fish nerd, although i have had a few fish with mouth fulls ive never seen my own fish "doin the deed"
we whipped out the camera ta try and caputure this rare moment but we were not successfull
and in the mornin she was at the top of the tank eating again , so she aint keepin em but ohhhh my wat an amazing sight
