Hey All,

How often do you clean your canister filters?
I have been doing some reading lately and it seems that if you clean it every 6mths your tank will be far better off.

So Iam interested in your thoughts.

hmm, i clean the one on my bristlenose tank atleast once every two weeks because the tubes/pipes get clogged from all the fish waster.

But on other tanks i try a keep it to once a month or once everyone 3 weeks, so nitrates dont build up.

I clean my Eheims ever 6 month, not earlier as I feel bacteria would need time to build up and work for the tank and not against it.
