Here's February's pic :) getting bigger, grown about 1.5cm this month, feeding really well on a good variety of fresh and pellet foods.

I like angles too. Specially triangles.

I'm more of a dodecahedron man myself ;)

Yup the cromellins pond sealant is a ripper of a sealer. Works great and they have sandstone, black, blue and grey. Honestly I wouldn't bother with anything else :)

Absolute rubbish! Myself and ice would go feral fishing for big koi and carp, they'd sit in an esky for an hour or 2 then home to the pond, never had a drama with the ferals! :)

#348311 Seachem Denitrate

Posted by Riggers on 02 January 2016 - 03:00 PM

Hi mate

I've used a small patio planter box and a small spray bar over the top of my 6ft tank, fill it with plants and viola, instant denitrifying :) I found that with a tank of over 200 tropheus I could push water changes to 4-5 weeks. :)

Good project but mate, let us know how it goes

Are you able to test for nitrites/nitrates?

If not bring a water sample down to the shop (I'm here till 5:40) today and I'll test everything we can possibly test for :)

It's diatom algae, very common in slow/low flow tanks, add in a power head or 2 and stir up the sand when you do water changes :)
