I have Western Pygmy Perch in three ponds and will be catching some soon to move to a new pond.

I was told that they only eat live food (obviously I do not feed them in the ponds) and was wondering if there is any food they will take (flakes? frozen bloodworms?) if I have to keep some in a tank for a while.

I have seen them eating flake food just like any other aquarium fish. Give them a good quality flake, crumble it into small pieces and only give small amounts untill they get used to it.
Cheers Terry
