Picked up another oddball for the oddball tank :)

I've never seen these here before so jumped on this one!

I was just talking about these to a mate the other day and I mentioned how I have never seen them here before so he probably wouldn't be able to find them lol.

Then this guy popped up so I nabbed him.  Funnily, my mate didn't want the other one haha!

Has anyone seen these in shops here before?

Well, not too sure yet as Im not sure which species it is lol.
They mostly look the same when small.

Either way, it won't be small. Can be either between 30cm to 75cm lol.

Reminds me of a dolphin. Are they related to elephant nose or BGK at all?

Their common name is Baby Dolphin :)

They are related to Elephant Nose, they are in the same family, Mormyridae.

Something unusual. Have not seen them on shops around my place. Would you mind sharing what else you have on your oddball collection? Im thinking of setting up a tank with senegal bichir, syno angelicus, bush fish, spotted raphaels. Not sure if they can be considered as oddballs. Would love to add a mormyrid on it.

wicked combo there litigator! don't forget to add some hujeta gars! I have my 2 with my Sens, such a predatory looking fish and complement well to odd balls.

have you found any bush fish or even better, small syno angelicus?
