Scientific Name: Dimidiochromis dimidiatus
Pronunciation: Dee-midd-e-o-cro-mis dee-midd-e-a-tus
Trade Name(s): None
Distribution: Lake-wide distribution, More so in the North of the Lake.
Habitat: Vallisneria beds & Sandy areas
Diet: Fry of other species.
Sexing: Males & Females are silver, Males have a blue sheen.
Maximum Size: 20cm
Temperature: 24 to 26c
pH: 7.5 to 9.0
Water Hardness: 300-400ppm
Availability: Rarely Available in Oz.
Comments: Rarely seen in the hobby as they are a shy species and are hard to catch in the Lake. Not much is known about this species.
They are the smallest out of all the Dimi's.
