Scientific Name: Exochochromis anagenys
Pronunciation: X-o-cho-cro-mis ana-gen-is
Trade Name(s):
Distribution: Lake-wide distribution.
Habitat: Rocky areas.
Diet: Small Mbuna
Sexing: Males are blue in breeding dress.
Females from the South of the Lake are silver with 3 black dots, From the North they are a yellow color.
Maximum Size: 30cm
Temperature: 24 to 26c
pH: 7.5 to 9.0
Water Hardness: 300-400ppm
Availability: Rarely Available in Oz.
Comments: Exochochromis anagenys have a beak like mouth, they hunt on a tilt. They hunt at high speeds through rocky terrain in search of Mbuna & are rarely seen over sandy areas.
