Scientific Name: Copadichromis quadrimaculatus
Pronunciation: Co-pad-e-chro-mis quad-ree-mack-ul-a-tus
Trade Name(s): None
Distribution: Lake wide distribution
Habitat: Rocky & sandy areas
Diet: Zooplankton
Sexing: Males are blue with some white through the dorsal.
Females are silver with a few black dots through the body.
Maximum Size: 23cm
Temperature: 24 to 26c
pH: 7.5 to 9.0
Water Hardness: 300-400ppm
Availability: Not Commonly Available in Oz.
Comments: Is one of the most abundant Utaka in Lake Malawi and is fished in the millions for human consumption.
