Scientific Name: Aulonocara brevinidus
Pronunciation: A-loo-no-car-a brev-ini-dus
Trade Name(s): Brevi Peacock, Blue Gold Sand Peacock
Distribution: Lupingu & Manda, Tanzania; Ntekete & Nkhomo Reef, Wikihi, Mara Point, & Chiloelo
Habitat: Depth of approx 20mtrs, Sandy areas
Diet: Snails & other Invertebrates
Sexing: Males have a slight blue tinge, Females are silver.
Maximum Size: 18cm
Temperature: 24 to 26c
pH: 7.5 to 9.0
Water Hardness: 300-400ppm
Availability: I haven't seen this species available for a very long time, A species that doesn't show a lot of color and therefore wouldn't be a popular fish to aquarists.
