I'm setting up a nano tank with 3 KGS of live rock. I'm not necessarily looking at setting it up quickly, I only want to do it the best I can.Depends on how else you are setting up the tank.
How much live rock and base rock.
How quick are you planning to set up.
Also depends how much you will need to buy.
I recently set up a marine tank and didnt use it.
You could use some live and some regular sand.
