  • All lots will be inspected on the night and any lots with deformed / unidentifiable or undersized fish will be removed.
  • All lots will now have the seller's name listed on the bag.
  • Fish bagged incorrectly will not be accepted. No sandwich bags or ziplock bags allowed. There will be a $1 charge for the re-bagging of fish
  • Please make sure your fish are adequately bagged. If they are large fish, put each in a separate bag.
  • When booking lots, please use reserve prices sparingly  for the expensive stuff. No reserves will be accepted below $20
  • When bidding on the night please remember that collection and payment of lots will only take place at the end of the auction.
  • There are no EFT facilities, so all transactions must be settled with cash.
  • At the end of the auction your lots will be collected and given to you by a committee member.
  • Only club members can sell lots at the auction but you can become one on the night. Anyone can bid/buy. General public are welcome to attend.
  • The PCS takes a 10% commission on all sales at the auction.
  • Non PCS club members pay an additional 10% of total sale price per lot.
  • The Rotary Hall is not a licensed venue and alcohol is not permitted. Anyone drinking in the hall will be asked to leave.
  • There are limited lots in the auction and fish take priority. The committee has discretion in refusing lots and reserves in the interests of balance and pacing

Advertising on Facebook won't get more fish lots, and only club members can sell fish, you can become a member on the night but all lots must be pre-booked.

It might get more buyers but how many people really want to go out that late after a long day at work on a Tuesday.

I may have a look in my tank and see what I can chuck in the auction.

Having lots of lots is great and filling the hall is good for everybody but there are always those people that consider their right to hold conversations during the auction to have a priority and sadly they always seem to be club members.
Hopefully the no alcohol policy will also be enforced to those who drink outside then return to the hall half pissed and ready for a chat.

OK well that should set some cats among the pigeons

Cheers All
Neil
