Drilling Holes In Tank With Water

Can this be done if i lower the water level?

 

I cant drain the tank completely unfortunately.

no idea by experience but i would think the pressure on the glass from water plus the pressure from drilling might cause a problem for you? but yeah hopefully someone else can shed some light on this question lol

as lont as the water level is low enough to take some pressure off, what thickness?? 10mm would be the best, i do all of mine

I did it on an old 3x18x18 tank years ago......

just drained it half way (so filter and heater could still function for the fishes sake)

Depends on glass thickness perhaps, hole size, and how far down your drilling etc.

Drilling a 25mm hole about 150mm from the top on a 600 high tank with 10mm glass.
