Comments: My favorite Hap, They look sensational when in breeding dress and aren't overly agro towards other fish unless they are breeding, the females have large mouthfuls, My largest was 240.
Commonly known as the MALAWI EYE BITER, I have never seen this behavior and it has never been observed in the Lake. The story goes:
A diver swam past  a reed bed and saw a Dimidiochromis compressiceps shoot out of some reeds and smash a fish in the face, he thought it was aiming at its eye, If you see the stalk their prey in the Aquarium they will at times smash another fish in the head.
If you have never kept a Dimi, do yourself a favor and grab one, you wont regret it.
