Scientific Name: Copadichromis sp. 'virginalis chitande'
Pronunciation: Co-pad-e-chro-mis species vir-gin-ar-liss chi-tan-dee
Trade Name(s): None
Distribution: Chewere, Chitande Island
Habitat: Rocky & sandy areas
Diet: Zooplankton
Sexing: Males are dark blue with a light blue blaze over the head through to the caudal.
Females are silver.
Maximum Size: 12cm
Temperature: 24 to 26c
pH: 7.5 to 9.0
Water Hardness: 300-400ppm
Availability: Rarely Available in Oz.
Comments: Males build bowers close to a over hanging rock so there is ample protection from other species while spawning.
