One of the club's primary goals is to promote the conservation of the neotropical family Cichlidae world-wide.

Many species become scarce or vanish entirely in the hobby as years go by.  There are also many new species that become available throughout Australia.

We've opened this forum section to help our members and sponsors coordinate group buys.  To date discussions such as this haven't been allowed in the main Classifieds section and there's confusion where to start a thread, hence this new sub-forum.

Members (forum and club) are limited to arranging livestock group buys only.  This is to keep in line with the above primary goal.

Sponsors are welcome to participate and can also offer dry-goods, food, equipment etc. in addition to livestock.

Post up Expressions Of Interests if you're after a particular species or post up species you know of that may be of interest to other members.

When sourcing please check with our local sponsor stores as to whether they have or can obtain the species you're after through their wholesale lists.  Obtaining stock from Eastern States breeders is also encouraged.

Rules around unauthorised commercial trading still apply.  See this thread for more information.

Please be aware that group buys are private dealings by members and sponsors.  The PCS is not responsible for any disputes that may occur. Buyer beware when dealing with unknown sources and you're hard earned cash. If any fraudulent activity arises please report this.

It will certainly cut down on costs, as the quarantine inspectors are now charging $56 per 15 minute inspection. Thats on top of the cost of freight and the price of the fish.
