Nice man.
Love them hey! What else have you got him with?
Is it male or female? Looks maybe a girl, from a look on that pic

At the moment I've just got a pair of whiptails (which still breed and the bichir doesn't bother them at all) and 3 scissor tails
Will be moving him into a 800L with some african butterfly fish and some others :)
After a bit of discussion it was concluded he was a male :) woulda been nice if he was a female :P

Thanks guys :)
He is eating one white bait every two days with carnivore pellets in between, but I have to chop the whitebait into 4 pieces so it fits in his mouth :P

Okay so after a lot of difficulty trying to get a fluval fx6 from somewhere I went to aquotix and got it within a week. And so my 5x3x2 is up and running for a while. Here are a couple if photos

I'm unsure what middle level fish I should have with the bichir when I put him in there

If you can put grown congo tetras they can look quite nice in a group of 10 or so

Mine try to breed like once a week in the morning when I open the curtains, they are IMO the most beautiful tetra

Yeah I was thinking congo's and maybe some african butterfly fish
My bichir is pretty harmless at the moment, I have some scissortails in there (the size of the whitebait I feed him) and he doesn't touch them
