so the first pic is from a couple of weeks ago when they first spawned but he swallowed the eggs soon after.

the second pic is from this morning but he wouldn't get in position to get a photo into his mouth - they are in there though - now i have to figure out a way to stop the other fish in the tank harassing him and causing him to swallow them

What's the go with breeding these guys and raising fry?

Bullrout from today... This was a 1 - 2 cm fish. They're slow growers (now 5cm) and If i had my time over again I would have raised it on its own. They seem easily put off by other fish. This one only has to contend with a bristlenose and a few L007's these days. Its had an unlimited supply of blackworms and native shrimp (Mostly small glassies but some ninjas too).

Bullrouts are great fish!!

Please get more cool aussie odd balls, shame not many people keep these types of fish.

See Pet magic Bibra Lake has a red scat, long time since I seen one a them in a LFS.

Had any luck getting FW Soles?

It's not what it used to be but they're a pretty interesting bunch of fish.

Red Scats $33 each.

Yes the Gars looked nice... So did one of the leichardtis.

I'm living in an apartment though at the moment which kinda limits how many tanks I can keep. All you can hear at my place is bubbles popping and the hum of filters. I don't have lights on at night other than aquarium lights.

Probably the Barred Grunters. They've been attacking everyone lately, not sure why.
