I've had a second hand Aqua One Brilliance 150 tank for about 9 months now and for the most part have loved it. The problem I'm having now is that one of the two light fitting which are also the tank hood has failed. The tubes themselves are fine as swapping the tubes to the other fitting works. So something inside the unit has gone wrong.
Has anybody opened up one of these units before? If so, any advice you can offer? I can't see an obvious way to open the units personally so I'm at a bit of a loss.
It seems like a total waste of money/resources to buy a whole new unit for $300 when it's likely just a couple bucks worth of wiring that needs to be replaced.
