Hi mate

They don't really show up in fish shops very often at all. Your best bet will be sourcing bichirs privately.

Main polypterus we get in Aus are ornates, senegals, delhezi and endlicheri (tigers).

They are 100% legal to keep in WA.

Also I know they need good hiding places iv got some big bits of drift wood and alot of limestone is this appropriate ? And because they like it more darker than usual what sort of lighting I was thinking about getting some underwater led lights to place under my driftwood and limestone will it annoy the heck out of them ?

Im after anything but senegals also! Not sure if limestone is appropriate for a birchir tank as it will tend to raise the PH and they aren't known to be fans of very hard water, the wood should be good though!
